Team Building at The Australian High Commission
We were approached by Kevin Pullen, Principal Migration Officer at the Australian high commission in the UK to design and run a team development day for his senior team. At the commission a number of those in senior posts move to different commissions every 4 years. This continual rotation of senior team members sometimes caused friction and hindered team development and collaboration. Kevin wanted a team development day that built cohesion and created a sustainable future vision.
On behalf of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection Leadership Team at the Australian High Commission in London, I would like to thank you for the work that you did to make our leadership team building day such a success.
The day itself was perfect, providing the right balance between theoretical principles of leadership, active participation, group and self-reflection and planning. The tools and activities that you used were all highly effective and feedback from all participants has been positive all round.
We now have a very strong foundation on which to build our effective team into an even more cohesive, productive and driven leadership group.
